2020 LAND ROVER DEFENDER
Filed Jun 23, 2026
Daytime running lights on my car gave out. This has been an issue with 2020+ Defenders as the LED module burns out overtime due to a lack of sufficient cooling. Land Rover quoted over 5000 dollars for headlight replacements just for a simple LED bulb. This needs to be addressed.
2020 LAND ROVER DEFENDER
Filed Jun 23, 2026
I own a 2020 Land Rover Defender and have experienced a failure of the LED halo ring/daytime running light within the headlight assembly. The LED ring stopped functioning even though the headlight assembly has not been damaged, modified, or involved in any accident. This failure affects the vehicle's visibility and appearance and may create a safety concern because the daytime running light is no longer operating as intended. I contacted the dealership regarding the issue, but I was informed…
2016 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER EVOQUE
Filed Jun 23, 2026
My son’s 2016 Range Rover Evogue (SE Premium Sport Utility 4D) caught fire while driving yesterday (6/22). The car was in great shape and had not had any auto work done recently. The vehicle experienced a loud pop while driving, immediately lost electrical power, steering assist, and brake assist, and then caught fire in the engine compartment. The car was a total loss. I do not see any recalls but would like this investigated in case this leads to a recall. I have asked my insurance company…

Upon inspection by my mechanic/dealer, the failure was diagnosed as a leaking coolant pipe/elbow connected to the turbocharger system. This is the exact component and failure mode described in Land Rover Safety Recall N785, which addresses a coolant elbow rupture that can leak fluid onto…

Safety Complaint Regarding Engine Oil Leak – Same Defect as Recall N763 (23V044000) Vehicle: 2019 Range Rover Sport | VIN: [XXX] Description of Problem: My vehicle is experiencing an oil leak from the engine area. Upon inspection by my mechanic/dealer, the failure was diagnosed as a blocked or improperly machined oil channel in the engine cam carrier, which is causing oil to leak externally. This is the exact component and failure mode described in Land Rover Safety Recall N763 (NHTSA…
2016 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT
Filed Jun 22, 2026
The contact owns a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the suspension fault warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failed front knuckle and suspension failure. The dealer confirmed that the failure was consistent with an unrepaired recall repair. The contact was informed that parts were unavailable. The dealer was contacted several times, but the contact was repeatedly informed…
2024 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT
Filed Jun 22, 2026
I am filing this complaint to formally report two separate incidents of DCDC converter failure in my Land Rover Range Rover Sport — the identical defect described in NHTSA Safety Recall 26V248 — and to request that NHTSA investigate why my vehicle has been excluded from that recall despite exhibiting the same failure mode. INCIDENT 1 – [XXX] While driving, my vehicle displayed a red “Stop Safely Electrical Fault Detected” warning message and subsequently lost motive power, coasting to a stop in…
2023 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER
Filed Jun 20, 2026
After coming to a complete stop at an intersection, I looked left-right-left before proceeding across the intersection. At the time I began to cross the intersection my vehicle seemingly did not accelerate as normal, causing my vehicle to be hit on the right driver side panel, spun around, and ripping the entire front end of my car off. Injuries were sustained and the vehicle may be a total loss.
2024 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT
Filed Jun 19, 2026
I bought this car in 2024 and after 3,000 miles it was unrepairable. The first incident, I was driving and the car started flashing and beeping, telling me to pull over and exit the vehicle immediately. I brought it to the dealership and after a few days they returned it and said it was a software update. The next day, while driving to work, the vehicle again started flashing lights and beeping and told me to Pull Over and Exit the Vehicle immediately. The vehicle continued to flash and beep…
